Ladybank Station

Fife Historic Buildings Trust is currently managing the restoration of the B-listed Laird's Waiting Room at Ladybank Station on behalf of the local community group, the Ladybank Development Trust. Originally the private waiting room of the Haig family who live nearby, it forms an important component of Ladybank Station, recognised by Historic Environment Scotland as 'the oldest Scottish station surviving substantially unaltered'.

The works will achieve both the preservation of the Laird's Waiting Room and its re-use as a much-needed general-purpose community facility for Ladybank residents. Funding for the works has been secured from the Railway Heritage Trust, the Stations Community Regeneration Fund, Fife Environment Trust, and European Leader Plus.
