West Fife’s Digital Doors Open
Published 18th September 2020
Fife Historic Buildings Trust has created three different safe, informative and fun ways to engage with heritage in Inverkeithing for West Fife’s Digital Doors Open this weekend, allowing Inverkeithing’s rich history and heritage to be enjoyed by all generations. A big thank you to our Inverkeithing Heritage Regeneration funders and partners, including Historic Environment Scotland, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Fife Council.
You can do a jigsaw, and get to know one of the local buildings a little better: jigsaws are here https://www.jigsawplanet.com/InverkeithingHeritage
Town House Model
There is a model of Inverkeithing Town House, which can be downloaded and printed out from the Fife Historic Buildings Trust website, there’s even a helpful short film showing the steps to making the model. Go to the Doors Open 2020 tab on the FHBT website Inverkeithing page: https://fifehistoricbuildings.org.uk/project/inverkeithing/ It includes an entourage of a pipe band, the finishing line of the Hat and Ribbon race, scenes from a Victorian Lammas Fair, and the Mercat Cross!
Doors Open weekend is the official launch of the Inverkeithing Heritage Regeneration podcast, Series 1.
