The premises are part of a restoration project completed in 1999 by Fife Historic Buildings Trust (FHBT). The historic village of West Wemyss lies between Kirkcaldy and Leven on the Fife Coastal Path, one mile off the A955 Fife Coastal Tourist Route. The property at 48 Main Street is formerly a village shop unit that has been most recently used as a community facility. The shop unit lies close to a community café bistro bar at the heart of West Wemyss conservation village.
FHBT is keen to find a sustainable new use for the building that offers an element of community use/benefit to respect the original concept for the property within the restoration project.
The premises are clean and tidy, have been well maintained and include toilet and kitchen facilities. The front of the shop has two display windows either side of the recessed entrance door.
